At the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu University, in 2010, the “School of Engineering International Exchange Support Center” was established with the aim of helping international students and foreign researchers to overcome any problems and pursue their study and research. In 2017, the name was changed to the “International Education Support Center for Engineering” to promote further internationalization. In 2021, the center changed the name to “Center for International Engineering Education”, and it continues to this day.

About
国際教育支援センターについて

International Education
国際教育
We support an English-language “International Undergraduate Program in English” (IUPE), where you can obtain a bachelor’s degree entirely in English. We also offer Japanese language education for international students and foreign researchers, and the Next Enhanced Education Program (NEEP), aimed at improving the ability of young faculty members to conduct classes in English. We are strengthening international education through supporting these programs.

Outbound
海外留学
We offer study-abroad information and a number of outbound programs to Japanese students belonging to the School of Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering, and are promoting study abroad. The short-term program ELEP enables students to learn about entrepreneurship and understand the mechanisms of innovation. The short-term program Q²PEC enables students to realise a global mindset and motivation to study abroad. We also plan and implement the engineering global leader training program ANGEL through international collaboration.

Inbound
留学生受入
A number of short-term inbound programs are offered. These include UQ-JPIE, a program part of the “UQ-KU Project” in collaboration with the University of Queensland (UQ), and the program “Sakura Science Plan” sponsored by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). We provide support to encourage international students to understand Japanese industrial technology and business and to study abroad in Japan.
